Quantum Transistors technology is based on diamond spin qubits with connectivity based on heralded photonic entanglement implemented on integrated photonics chips. The lack of need for proximity between matter qubits, using a hybrid light-matter approach, removes barriers to scalibility in a cost effective design. Quantum Transistors developed PUDDINGs, a novel technique that allows for a significant reduction in the impact of environmental noise on the operation of qubits and for the production of more stable gates even without complicated cooling systems. The company's technology relies on clean synthetic diamonds within which tiny atomic defects called “color centers” are created in a controlled manner.
