About the event

We are pleased to invite you to a webinar designed to explore opportunities for collaboration with units at Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory in Bio-convergence (BC) research and development, as well as in commercialization opportunities.

In this webinar, we will host Deepti Tanjore to learn about the Advanced Biofuels and Bioproducts Process Development Unit (ABPDU), part of Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory, and how to internationally collaborate with them. ABPDU enables early-stage advanced biofuels, biomaterials, and biochemicals product and process technologies to successfully scale from the lab to commercial relevance.

In addition, we will learn about the commercialization opportunities at JBEI (Joint BioEnergy Institute). JBEI has developed a range of technologies to accelerate the conversion of lignocellulosic biomass to advanced fuels and other bioproducts. Robin Johnston, JBEI Director of Commercialization, will be presenting a portfolio of patent applications covering direct in planta production of monomers and mid-value molecules, lignin valorization, microbes engineered to produce a variety of chemicals, fuels, and fuel precursors, and machine learning models for optimizing microbial production.

Ilanit Mor, PhD – Senior Director, Head of Research in IndustryTechnological Infrastructure Division at the Israel Innovation Authority, will elaborate on our incentive program that supports the validation process for those who will choose to apply for it upon agreeing with JBEI on licensing of IP.
